Following the Bank’s privatisation, the Corporates Department has been structured so as to achieve an even more efficient and effective servicing of its clientele by offering personalised banking. The client now deals with a single business development officer who is responsible for the client’s relationship with the Bank. This officer devotes time to understand the company and assist in the formulation of a tailor-made financing package and ensure the client’s subsequent needs and requirements are met.

The Corporates Department offers the following facilities in Euro and foreign currency:

• Loans to finance capital expenditure
• Current accounts and overdrafts to finance working capital requirements
• Letters of credit and guarantees to facilitate trading requirements
• Revolving facilities to finance seasonal working capital requirements
• Convertible loans that can be converted to equity, subject to certain conditions
